Mrs. Serial Killer Review: Jacqueline Does Not Fail To Disappoint

Much awaited movie Mrs. Serial Killer starring Manoj Bajpayee, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Mohit Raina, the series got released on 1st May 2020. Here we are with the review of this series.

Official Trailer: Mrs. Serial Killer | Jacqueline Fernandez, Manoj Bajpayee | Netflix India | May 1

Mrs Serial Killer marks the digital debut of Jacqueline Fernandez along with her first collaboration with Netflix. The movie also stars Aamir Khan’s niece Zayne Marie, who is making her acting debut in a film. When her husband is framed and jailed for serial murders, a doting wife in a critical situation needs to perform a murder exactly similar to the serial killer in order to prove that her husband is an innocent guy.

The movie is a bland thriller. Casting of Jacqueline as female lead is baffling. Jacqueline as a lead is quite bland, given there are many more potential actresses who can deliver better. Acting by supporting cast is again poor. Amazing acting by Manoj Bajpayee and Mohit Raina but they can’t save the movie because major role is of Jacqueline. Background score is great. Direction and story is average but that’s expected courtesy Shirish Kunder as story and direction is by him. The movie doesn’t really excite you until there’s Manoj Bajpayee or Mohit Raina on screen. For a thriller, you expect more gripping moments. But this one made it quite obvious of what was to come.

Mrs. Serial Killer Trailer

Overall, there are some points where the script doesn’t satisfy audience. They didn’t showed how he killed the 6 girls and what was the proper story behind it, along with that why the lawyer was involved in it. Manoj Bajpayee did his job well by performing sharply. Manoj sir did his part wonderfully. Jacqueline can’t convince through her acting. As we’re in locked down & have good amount of free time so you can give it a shot. Overall, it was a so-so thriller that did not need too much of brain racking. You could stay on your phone and still manage to watch the movie.
