Akshay Kumar recently announced that he would fly down to the UK to commence shooting for the espionage thriller, Bell Bottom. It would be a marathon schedule of 30 days in the UK and the team will follow the government laid guidelines. After Bell Bottom, the actor will resume work on his Prithviraj Chauhan biopic from October End/Early November. Hence, it is clear that the film will be released sometime next year.
We will keep you posted once the trailer is launched. Stay tuned for the updates. For now, here is the teaser of the movie:
Akshay said playing “one of the most fearless and courageous kings of India, Prithviraj Chauhan” is an honour for him.
“Prithviraj was the only person standing in front of a merciless nemesis and the bravery he showed, made him a true Indian hero, an inspiration for generations and a legend. So this announcement coming on my birthday has indeed made it more special for me,” the actor said.
The film will be helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi as it is based on the life of Indian historical figure Prithviraj Chauhan who was known for his valour and bravery. While Akshay will essay the role of the king, Manushi will play the role of the Sanyogita, the love of his life.
